I recently put out feelers for podfic-friendly authors in Harry Potter fandom and created a list. This is mainly because although there are lists out there where authors have raised their hands as being podfic-friendly, there haven’t been a lot of replies from Harry Potter authors, and they tend to get buried in the Merlin, SGA, SPN deluge. So...if you're at all interested in recording Harry Potter fanfiction and want to know some pro-podfic authors, going...
...might give you a jumping off point
(mods, I wasn't sure which tags to use, so I hope I picked the right one)

Date: 2011-07-03 12:14 am (UTC)I haven't read HP fic in the loooongest time. The most recent thing I've read (well, listened to) was fayjay's recording of astolat's SPN/HP fic Old Country. I've been meaning to seek out HP podfics to listen to, and I hope your list encourages more of them to be made!
Thanks again for taking the time to compile this!

Date: 2011-07-03 12:33 am (UTC)I might eventually try recording a nice, short gen!fic when I build my courage up. Get my toes wet, or something.
Aside from that, it is surprising podfic hasn't taken off in HP, just considering the fact that its canon is a literary one. One might assume a lot of people have listened to the HP audiobooks, and thus would be interested in podfic. Weren't there even a few podcasts where people recorded a fanfic a week or something?

There was at least one Harry Potter podcast, but strangely, no-one in fandom really seems to know about it. *shrug*
