I've been remiss and completely neglected to crosspost this here!

Inception; Arthur/Eames
1:56:15; mp3 (79.4), m4b (68.8)
feedback to reader

"And that shirt is fucking hideous, Eames, do you do these things just to get in the papers?"

Eames grins at him. "This is wardrobe," he says. "Wait till you see what I wear to lunch."

mp3 and m4b from the Podfic Big Bang website
or the mp3 from the Audiofic Archive

Archivists, there is an archive permalink for the mp3 only because I needed somewhere to upload it to in order to submit it (and it would just be going there anyway), but I haven't archived the m4b or created any entries. <3

I actually listened to this the day after it was posted, because I had some downtime in back at work, and I UTTERLY LOVED IT. It was amazing and I laughed hysterically and grinned like a maniac and generally loved it a lot. :DDDD (Also, the phone call sound effect was very nifty. I liked that!)

A+++, WOULD LISTEN AGAIN

I actually kept meaning to ask how you did it, because I wanted to use something similar in a podfic I'm doing (the SJA one, actually!) But then I just googled it and figured it out XD

And yeah, this basically just went STRAIGHT to the top of my Safety Pod list after I listened to it ^^ SO MUCH <3333

I agree, the phone sound was great :D and still very intelligible.

It's interesting, because your reading made the story a lot more human for me. When I first read it, I loved it very uncritically (it pushes my repressed-but-meant-for-each-other buttons most deliciously). But when listening, it really brought home to me how frustrating and stupid those two are, and how much of an asshole Arthur really is @-@ haha. It doesn't negate the deep feelings and surprising sweetness, but it feels -- more grounded? It's probably not something you intended, but it had that effect on me!

What didn't work for me at all was the txting -- not the texts per se, but the headers! It actually made me ponder artistic licence of podficcers to abridge passages that don't work when spoken. Because auuugh. "arthur to xxx blah blah am blah" realllly grated after the second time. Not your fault -- just something that didn't work for me. Did that stand our for you when reading (as in, the repetitiveness), or is it just a very subjective listener thing?

There was one line where your reading of it was so awesome that my glee was actually audible:D It was Nash during the confrontation with Arthur at the hospital. He says: "Holy shit," Nash says, "do you feel compelled to--" and the malicious glee and hopefulness you injected into it was hilarious.
