Hello! Exam time is rapidly approaching, so I'm not sure how much I'm going to be recording in the near future, but yeah, sure, I'll participate!

there are some other prizes that are not related to points, so even if you don't have the kind of time to compete for one of the top three points slots there are other things you might earn win! you just never know! there will also be participant graphics so everyone DOES get something just for participating! \o/

yes, both of your podfics qualify (i haven't gotten to your en haut et en bas post yet, but: yes), and they get many more than 6 points each! there is a more comprehensive post here (http://amplificathon.livejournal.com/896638.html) that describes the kind of points you can earn for each podfic. but for the fandom/pairing section you would get 3 points for each of them, yes!

you can edit the points into your posts and we'll add them to our spreadsheet. let us know if you have any questions about calculating your points! \o/

Ahh, I see! I understand a bit better now. This sounds really cool and exciting - I wondered why there'd been such a glut of podfic lately. I've posted up my points now, I'm 99% sure they're right, and I'll definitely be recording something new soon! :D

Erm, thank you! You're very kind. That is, I think, the single thing I slightly dislike about podfic - your voice is not something you can change. You can work on delivery, improve your editing and get better equipment, but if people don't like your voice, there's not much you can do. So, thank you again, it means a lot! :)

Yeah, it can be a bit of a deal breaker, can't it? But it's a totally subjective thing, so one person's dislike can be anothers favourite. Or at least that's what I tell myself when I hear podfic after podfic with voices better than mine:P

Oh, definitely! Very subjective. I was just wondering - may I ask, what did you think of the accents? I've had a little feedback, but I'm still not sure whether it was a success or not. I'd like to do it again, because it was really fun, but not if I sound silly :S

It's actually funny that you ask that because it's something I meant to mention in my initial feedback but I forgot about it.

I loved the accents, they were gentle and underplayed and not jarring at all. It all sounded very natural. So, my vote definitely goes to using them again:)

Thank you! :D I'll definitely be bringing out the accent repertoire again, then, since it was easily the most fun part of the recording. I was quite worried about it - that's why I recorded my own work, just in case it went horribly wrong. The hardest was definitely Cobb. Leonardo DiCaprio has the weirdest accent ever, it was really difficult trying to do an impression of him.
