Welcome to amplificathon and podficcing! I've made you a reader tag.

In case you are unaware, podfics posted here are automatically archived at the Audiofic Archive. What can I say, the mods run the site, so they wrote it into the comm rules. :-)

For archiving purposes, does your series have a name?

That's fine. When you decide on a verse name, it can be added as a tag at the archive so people can find the related podfics. Numbering them as you post would also make it easier for listeners to keep track of the sequence of the series as they download, if they're meant to be listened to in order. Not a requirement, mind you, just an easy access thing.

Speaking of access, do you have mp3 versions as well as m4a? We always archive an mp3 version as that is the most universally accessible format; not all players can use m4a or m4b files. Not to worry if you can't offer mp3s though; we can convert the files for you before archiving if necessary. :-)

So it goes. :-)

You should be able to set your recording program to output directly to mp3 instead of m4a for next time. Also, if you have any technical questions, you can ask here at amplificathon or join [livejournal.com profile] podfic_tips, where there's tons of useful information.

I converted the files to mp3's and made pages for those as well:)

I also gave them a listen and wow, awesome job for your very first recordings! My favourite part was when John slammed his hand on the table and you did likewise, it made me startle and feel the tension of the scene. I'm looking forward to the next installment:)

hi there!

the amplificathon 2011 challenge is on right now, and if you'd like to be included there's information here (http://community.livejournal.com/amplificathon/896194.html). basically, anything posted between april 4 and june 20 earns points and could earn a non-point based prize, so even if you aren't trying to place in the top three you can at least get a participant prize or earn one of our special event prizes!

just let us know either way!
