Title: Thursday's Child

Reader:

Genre, Pairings: Supernatural (Dean/Castiel)
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Thursday’s child has far to go.
Reader's Note: While this is not the first podfic I've posted, it is in truth, the first one I started working on (several months ago), so please excuse the differences in audio quality. The oldest recordings are actually chapters 7 and 8 (earlier chapters may have been re-recorded due to horrible quality *cough, cough*). My thanks to the author,
strangeandcharm, for her permission and enthusiasm to record this story, and to
crinklysolution for beta-ing these 12 hours! Also, this is my first attempt at producing an m4b podbook, so please let me know if there are any problems with the file. I hope you enjoy!

Date: 2011-04-16 01:17 am (UTC)It's already a great story, but you did a fantastic job reading it. Loved your Cas and Dean voices, everything was so spot on. I love podfic and totally applaud you for doing such a long story, such a pleasure to listen to. I hope you do more in the future.

Date: 2011-06-05 12:10 am (UTC)The fic itself was amazing but your reading it really brought it to life. The emotion you managed to express when Dean or Castiel were speaking was fantastic. Also, I know that had I been reading this myself, I'd have missed loads of the minor details in the descriptions that I noticed as you read.
It was an absolute pleasure to listen to, and thank you for filling my week for me.

Date: 2011-06-05 01:55 am (UTC)I can absolutely relate to how we pick up details in podfic. It's really fascinating to me how much the interpretation of a story can be influenced by the medium.

Date: 2011-07-02 02:57 am (UTC)I'm on part 4 now and I just had to drop by and tell you what a wonderful job you did on the reading - perfect pacing, clear diction, just enough expression in your voice. I'm thoroughly enjoying it! All I want to do is drive or clean the house or walk the dogs because those are the times when I listen to podfic, lol.

Date: 2011-07-03 03:39 am (UTC)I am much the same way in my podfic listening habits: here's to a clean house and exercised dogs! (I also find the bathtub to be convenient. *wink*). I so hope you enjoy the rest!

Date: 2011-09-04 06:27 pm (UTC)Really glad you enjoyed it, especially if it was your first experience with respect to podfics. It was, indeed, quite a bit of work, but it's such a great story I couldn't pass it up *wink*. A lot of fun to do, as well.
The amplificathon is a great ressource for podfics. If you're looking for more recordings, check out the archive site, Audiofic archive (http://audiofic.jinjurly.com/).
