So, when I entered Avatar: The Last Airbender fandom, I was convinced that Jet/Zuko was not going to be my cup of tea. And then I found [livejournal.com profile] sodomquake 's journal. Her epic Jet/Zuko story, told through 'Crossing' and 'Float', has such achingly perfect characterization that it made my heart sing. It made a convert out of me. :D So here is some podfic! I will be working on 'Float' over the next little while, as well.

Title: Crossing
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sodomquake
Read By: [livejournal.com profile] emilianadarling
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Pairing: Jet/Zuko
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Major liberties taken with timeline.
Time: 1:25:00
Intro/Outro Song: "This is the Life" by Amy Macdonald
Permanant Link: Here!
Summary: 1. The act by which anything is crossed; as, the crossing of the ocean. [...] 4. Intersection, as of two paths or roads. [...] Jet and Zuko meet on the ferry to Ba Sing Se.

I'm very excited to be branching out into more fandoms! :D This story also fills the "Read Sexy" prompt for my [livejournal.com profile] podfic_bingo card.

Thanks so much for downloading! Drop me a line if you enjoy -- please let me know what you think!

(This is technically "part one" of the fic, but is a complete story in itself. Not a WIP!)

Edit: Permanant link added!

Yup, I died from over-excitement (had to be resurrected so I could download/listen), LOL! My kid brother got me into the Avatar fandom and I was originally quite shocked by how much I enjoyed a cartoon! But it's awesome and I'm downloading this podfic right now... I'll let you know how much I like it once I've had a listen.

;-P

I have my preferred fandoms, of course, but I try to podbook most longer podfics whatever the fandom. The format is especially nice for longer works, after all.

Sometimes I baulk because of lack of knowledge of a fandom and its characters, which makes creating a cover difficult, but my google fu is pretty good and often sees me through. :-)

My typical cutoff point for 'booking is around 45 minutes at the moment, mostly because of the ever increasing number of podfics being recorded. I used to 'book podfics as small as 5 minutes, but that's no longer feasible, of course.

My cutoff, unfortunately, keeps increasing as I can't keep up with podfic production (this is a great thing, mind you!) Luckily, more and more people are compiling 'books all the time, at least of their own works. Recently bessyboo has started compiling some 'books for others, too, which is wonderful!

Hey, it appears there was a glitch in my upload of Crossing: a different podbook was downloading from the link I gave. Luckily, Sly caught the error, and I've fixed it. :-)

Just wished to say: I saw the awesome podbook cybel made for this and it looked so shiny, I got all excited and immediately downloaded it. I can't wait to hear your Zuko voice :D

You may have to re-download! I'd linked to the wrong 'book. :-(

I've only started listening to the podbook, but may I say that I really like your choice of music and your delivery? It is a new fandom for me, looking forward to the rest.
