I couldn't help myself, it was SCREAMING at me to do it the second I listened to the podbook XD (WHICH I LOVED, btw. Fun story: I'd never read the fic before, and was listening to your podfic while I took out the trash & cardboard at work--a half hour/forty minute endeavor--and so I wasn't paying 100% attention to it, and I missed a lot of the little hints in the first section, so it TOTALLY caught me off guard when Granger turned out to be LEX! I seriously ended up clutching the dumpster, so I wouldn't fall over from laughing so hard XD)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! If you listen carefully, you can tell in a few places where I was barely holding back laughter as I recorded. I especially loved the line Lex had, "I wonder how horses did it before farmers came along" - snickered *so hard* reading that part....

It's difficult to read a fic like this in a way that makes the characters seem like people and not just punchlines. But you managed that :)

Your read on this was particularly funny, my favorite bit being Winona's enthusiasm for ultraviolet weapon fuckery...and there was some pathos in there too, which of course you handled with aplomb...jeez, I hope I spelled that word right...

Also, thanks for the compliment - Winona is pretty kickass here. I particularly loved the bit where Scotty meets her, and Jane's all, "NO. Stay put, and STOP BONDING with my MOTHER." And, the epilogue made me snicker....

This totally rocks. You totally rock! I love your voice, I love the emotions you give the characters, I love your sense of timing...I just love this podfic (and all your other podfics).

I would never have read this story on my own, but having heard your FANTASTIC podfic, I can honestly say that girl!Kirk can be fun and exciting and very hot.

Oh. Wow. Thank you so much for the enthusiasm and kind words - I'm grinning pretty fiercely right now. Wanna know a secret? I hadn't originally planned on reading the fic either! I actually saw lama_mama's art first, and then went to check out waldorph's words, and then mostly just wanted an excuse to use "No Sleep Tonight" in a podfic - and somehow, everything came together in this supreme explosion of awesome. (And now that it's all done, I've gotta say - I love how girl!Kirk is just as badass as boy!Kirk, but also gets to wear miniskirts. *shrugs and grins sheepishly*)

In conclusion, you're very welcome for the horizon-expanding, and thank you very much for listening in the first place. Hopefully I'll keep your ears entertained for a while to come ;-)
