we are MOSTLY posted. (sorry about how late things were last night, it was...a day. of other things being on fire.)

well. it's on the way. we have 5 more to post. they are all SUPER AWESOME. several are even awesomer because, you see, they are pinch hits that we called for at the very last minute. and in one HILARIOUS case, a reader defaulted, then was asked to pinch hit HER OWN DEFAULT, then...defaulted again. and is now pinch hitting her own defaulted default pinch hit. again. as someone currently wearing that unnamed person's bathrobe and glasses, i can verify that she PROMISES that it will be done asap. once her voice comes back. ::coffcoff::
anyway. we beg your patience, and promise that if you haven't seen your gift yet, you are in for a treat. <3

Date: 2010-12-24 03:23 pm (UTC)basically, we understand that people are going to default, and that's okay. this is a big undertaking! and we don't like people to feel bad if they can't do it. so once we hit the deadline, we take a look at who has defaulted, and the people who they were recording a gift for. and the people who were recording for them, and we shuffle a little. but that isn't very straightforward.
to illustrate:
abbie is reading spn for betty
betty is reading sga for cathy
cathy is reading spn for debbie
debbie is reading house for ella
betty drops out, and so does cathy. okay, so! abbie's spn recording can go to debbie! yay! except...no. abbie read wincest, which was on debbie's squick list. so we go down the list and find someone who likes wincest AND dean/castiel, and was getting dean/castiel, and swap them in, so they get abbie's story, and debbie gets theirs.
it gets MORE complicated when ella drops out, though, as no one else asked for house /o\.
IT IS LIKE A WEB. we keep any matches we can. <3
