Not my fandom, but I'm glutting on downloading all Podbangs. And I am so excited for this. Yay! Genderbender femslash fics happen in AI as well? I am so happy to know this!
(Also, RPS AUs don't weird me out, when RPS can. Double yay.)
Personally, I feel this fic reads a lot like original. Especially since the author did an amazing job at genderbending. The Adam and Kris of this fic are not the Adam and Kris as we know them, because the gender you're born with shapes who you are and how you experience things. This Adam and Kris have character elements of the fanon boys but are also girls too (not just boys with boobs).
I enjoyed it a lot. *grin* Aside from the lingering suspicions about who were 'canon' and who were OCs, which I never could figure out. I had fun theorising about AI while doing it, though. This is why I have trouble playing in unfamiliar fandoms, I feel like I'm sitting at the back of the class missing all the in jokes.
I really liked your reading. There were some moments when I could just hear you smirking and trying not to giggle, which is always awesomely fun. (I hate how actual audiobooks always seem to miss that.) The girls really did make awesome girls, their stories made awesome coming out/college/romantic angst in such a lovely, understated way. I guess I've been reading too much angst McShep lately, so it completely caught me by surprise.
Generally, this was great fun. And I'm still extremely happy that genderswitch isn't limited to supernaturally inclined fandoms, because that is YAY.
It was fantastic! It was fun, and funny in all the best places, and quite steamy as well, for something that never fully ventures into that territory! I especially enjoyed the very emotional read in the scene where Kris tells Katy she likes girls -- so much sadness, and happiness, and relief! You do it again a later on as well, and I just marvel at how well you were able to convey those emotions across. It was lovely to listen to, nicely done :)
What a marvelous story and what a perfect reading! I was sick all day today stuck in bed and you made me feel so much better :) The story's great but your reading is phenomenal. Seemingly effortless (which i'm sure it isn't, which makes it even more amazing) with great pacing and character voices. Thank you!!!
