I had a sneak listen to this one (as I compiled the podbook) because it's a favorite story of mine by a favorite author, and let me say that the reading is excellent: emotional and scary and compelling in all the right ways.

Great job! :-)

Thank you for your kind words! I was quite nervous to release anything out into the world, so I'm relieved it was listenable.

Zombies + Dean/Castiel + Chuck (and Sam and Bobby and a rollicking good time?) I am so there! Also, as this has the endorsement of Cybel (who I would imagine knows a thing or two about good podfic ;) ) I am extra excited to listen to this one :)

It was really fun to record. Giving voice to Bobby, Chuck and Ellen...and Zombies, Dean/Cas? What more could I ask for?

Oh, this sounds so intriguing! We both love zombies and had even a zombie story on our possible-list for our giftee, too. :)

Your podfic goes straight to my iPod for my 7-hours-drive home to my parents tomorrow. What better way to spend a few hours than with the Winchester boys and our favourite angel battling the Undead. Thank you so much! <3

Happy New Year, [livejournal.com profile] alchemynerd! I hope you had a wonderful time with your family and/or friends as well.

I now listened to your podfic twice on the way to and from my parents and I have to say, you did an awesome job. You found always just the right tone to convey the emotions and atmosphere. Time and again shivers ran down my back and I simply was hoping to not arrive too fast at my destination, so that I didn't have to stop listening. :)

Merci beaucoup! <3

De riens! Ce fût mon plaisir!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. The author does a fantastic job of describing the setting. I remember thinking the first time I read the story that I kept visualizing scenes as in a zombie movie or videogame (the good ones, lol).

I was somewhat worried that it would be too much at times - particularly in dialogue, since the tags describe the emotion (I kept asking myself if I was being redundant...lol). I'm relieved to hear that the tone was fitting.

Bonne Année!

Kay, so I decided this year that I'd thank before I listened coz I'm just so damn excited to have new long podfics to listen to now but it always seems to take me an age to actually listen!

Thank you! I heart this pairing but I don't think I know the story, which is actually kind of cool since I adore being sucked into a brilliant story. I said thanks right? I don't have the words for how excited this bang makes me...

Haha. I think you have a very good idea going. I wish I was as good at leaving comments for authors/readers.

This bang is wonderful! Long podfic = win!

Thank you for downloading and I hope you enjoy.

I wholeheartedly agree with podfic_lover and I have to admit that I had a squee moment when I saw this. I absolutely adore this author and zombies + SPN? My day can not get any better! I can't wait to listen to this!

Hope your holidays are happy!

I am so pleased that the story was a good pick!

I firmly believe there must be more SPN Zombie stories written...lol

Thank you for your holidays wishes! I hope you have a great holiday season as well.

I'm not really a great fan of zombies, but a long Dean/Cas podfic and I decided I should at least give it a try. And I'm really glad I did; I kind of got sucked right into the story. Mostly thanks to your reading, because the story is great, but I'm still not all that into zombie apocalypses.

Thank you so much, I pretty much survived my Christmas baking frenzy of this year by listening to this. :)

Thanks for giving it a try despite it not being your usual fare. I'm glad you enjoyed it despite the zombie apocalypse...lol.

Christmas baking? *Shudder* I hope you're all done ;-)

Happy Holidays!

I thought your read of this story was pitch perfect. Your acting of the dialog was very spot on, I liked the way you read true confusion into Sam's take on Dean and Castiel particularly, but all the dialog was nicely nuanced and subtly differentiated. You also just have a lovely voice for podfic, smooth and very easy to listen to. Great job with this, I got very caught up in this excellent story...

Thanks so much for your generous words.

It's particularly nice to hear my voice worked for podfic, as this was the first I released into the wild. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but I am far more critical of my own voice than the voice of anyone else. Does anyone actually like their own voice, lol?

I thought you did a great job. Let me know if you ever want a beta listener for other projects, I'm happy to oblige. Podcath (otherwise known as cath) and I swap beta listening, and she's been very helpful in picking up errors that I miss, because it does get boring after a while listening to your own voice. But you have a very nice voice for podfic, honestly...

Ha, yeah it does get rather boring. Much more fun to listen to someone else ;-) I'd be glad to beta as well if you ever need it, though I can't guarantee I'd be any good at it =P

Thanks again. Your comments made my day.
