For me, new podfic is always a mixed bag - on one hand, yay, podfic! But on the other, if it's a performer you've never heard of, there's certain trepidation of 'what if this person has a different idea, visual, of the story than I do?'

Well, having already heard one of your performances, I am absolutely looking forward to this one! So, YAY podfic! \0/

Well, see, the way it works is: you have a fic you love and you listen to the podfic and realise the performer is awesome, and then you go do some gentle cyber-stalking, and realise there are other fandoms you like that this awesome performer had done podfic for (Smallville!)... it snowballs from there.

Just wanted to come back and say how fantastic your podfic was. I actually cracked up - in public! On a BUS! - while listening to Jared almost cry at the discovery that Jensen had shaved his head. *I* almost cried at the idea! Your voice was perfect! I am totally looking forward to more podfics in my fandoms. You bring me GLEE! \0/

I am so glad I brought you glee. I'm not usually a huge fan of bandom, or RPF at all, but this fic basically grabbed my brain and wouldn't let go. I laughed (at the fic), I cried (at the interminable recording proccess), I flailed with joy (while putting together the fanmix). I'm sure everyone else on the bus was glad you were enjoying yourself as well... Merry Christmas (again)!

P.S. -In case you were wondering, I'm working on another Smallville podfic - not humor this time, but kinda AU and a bit darker than my usual. I'm excited, as it's giving me a chance to stretch my more dramatic muscles. I'm totally gonna ask you to check it out, when it's finished.... ;-)

I woke up to three response comments from you this morning - that's when you know you're spam-commenting, you know? Yikes. Also, my daily commute involves buses, hence all the mention of flailing/snorting/giggling/etc on the bus.

My very first slash fandom (gyah, 10 years ago) was a band, which is why, I think, I've always preferred RPS, except for Smallville because Clex is just so awesome that no way Tom/Mike could top (heh) that. But I absolutely do not do bandom, so when The New Frank and Gerardwas posted, I had to triple-check it was J2.

I'm totally gonna ask you to check it out, when it's finished.... ;-)

I would be honoured. Unless it ends badly. Because I'm a total wuss and can deal with almost anything, except for an unhappy ending. :( Sad stories make me cry, and if the writer doesn't mend my heart by the end, that totally sucks out loud.

Eh, I was cleaning out my inbox, and realized I'd been very lax about getting back to people - there was stuff in there from nearly a month ago! I have not been as on-top of the internet as I should have been....*shakes head in self-chastisement*.... Plus, comments are beloved by all. Feel free to comment as much as you'd like ;-)

As to the other Smallville podfic, it's not sad so much as vengeance-y and a little bit dark....but Clark and Lex have a satisfactory ending. Not telling as to how all the other characters end up, though - that would spoil the surprise.

Oh, good. Glad to be of help. It's a rare, rare thing when I introduce someone to new music (my iPod is mostly filled with 90s stuff, audiobook porn, and Disney music...aside from the porn, my musical tastes stalled around the fifth grade...)

So, you're about as behind in new things as I am :D My favorite bands are still mostly the same as they were in junior high. The shame of liking boybands when you're 26 is just about the same as liking them when you're 12.

I should probably keep it secret but I only know Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco because someone wrote crossover fic with Nick Carter in it. That got me interested and I figured I liked the music when I googled it. And the rest I know mostly because my brother likes it,

And porn. About 3/5 of the Gigabytes of my iPod have it. I think you know when you listen too much iPod porn is when you can listen to a bondage scene while paying groceries and not blush...

I'm not quite to the not-blushing stage yet, but I can (and have) listened to such a scene while on a public bus - and I didn't feel like whoever was sitting next to me was getting any spillover from my sometimes-too-loud headphones. So, that's a good thing. Or at least, some kind of thing..... ;-)

I'm one of those people that listens to podfic incessantly but never bothers to comment (I know, I know *is a bad person*), so in the interest of trying to mend my non-commenting ways, I just had to tell you how awesome this podfic is! You really bring the characters and the humour in this fic to life and the addition of the music is a nice touch. I know podficcers rarely get the thanks they deserve, so thank you!! :)

Me too! I'm trying to train myself out of that habit - mostly by sending myself textmessages when I finish listening to a podfic, so that I'm reminded that I need to tell both the author and the podficcer that I enjoyed it. So far, this strategy has had limited positive results....

Also, you're welcome! And, thank you for listening to it. Half the time, I'm more impressed with the fact than anyone else is bothering to listen to me, than with whatever it was that said listener has to say....but you are all in all very impressive. ;-) Glad you liked the music as well - there's a link up top for the mix, too.
