I also downloaded and listened to 'The New Frank and Gerard'. I'm not very into CWRPS, but the title wore me down. Aha~ I'm such a sucker for bandom, even if it's only referenced...^^''

What I wouldn't give for snow - the road by my house flooded nearly a foot deep due to fall-leaf-clogged storm drains, and at least snow doesn't get me quite so soaked..... Grr.

I have this theory, about RPF in any form - the less like reality it is, the better I'm able to tolerate it. Like, a fic that has all sorts of personal details, about real events in real people's lives, makes me feel skeevy and like the unsexy flavor of voyeur. Fics that try to emulate the personality of whoever-it-is, as well, make me feel dirty. But, an RPF where the story is completely out there, and the only correlation to real life is a well-known name and a very pretty face...well, that I can handle, plus, eye candy! In this one, the personalities are so over-the-top that I think one would be hard-pressed to draw any similarities to living beings, aside from the hot bods and famous names. So, I hope "The New Frank and Gerard" doesn't sketch you out too much... plus, there's a fanmix! :-)

I think you're on to something with that - as far as I can remember, the only RPF stories I've read (aside from bandom, but hey, most of those people seem too surreal for real life anyway) were extremely AU.

And hey, kudos to you for finishing the podfic despite your technical difficulties. ^^ I'm going to look for that one song at the beginning of part 2 now, what was it again? Dance Hall Drug, I think.

You are amazing! I love your voice, and ability you have to really capture the mood of the fics you podcast. Thank you for putting these out there for everyone to enjoy. I download them to my MP3, and listen to them in my car. My commutes to and from work now put me in a cheerful frame of mind, instead of a Mckay state of mind. I don't know what all fandoms you read for, as I'm mostly SGA, but you're definitely adored in this one. thanks for your hard work.

Wow, that is so kind of you to say. I'm really glad I can help start your day off in as unMcKay a mindframe as possible! Also, I'm pretty sure "a McKay state of mind" is the best phrase ever. I'm mostly recording podfic in SGA, Supernatural, and some Buffy-crossover-types right now, but my reading tastes are all over the map. I've got everything I've ever recorded over at my lj as well as here, so if you ever feel like seeing if something else I've done is to your taste, feel free to take a look. ;-)
