Patty has posted the individual parts (all 18 of them). This post links to all the rest. They can also be found at the Audiofic Archive.

was sort of hoping that there might have been a combined posting instead of individual ones, but many thanks anyway :)

Patty might be willing to provide that; it's out of my purview. :-)

I'm confused, too, since this post links to all the parts, and that sounds like what impala1967 is asking about. :-(

Does anyone else have problems with the audiobook (m4b) file?

I can't get it to my ipod. Gtkpod (I don't have itunes since I use ubuntu [linux]) keeps saying "filetype known but fails check". I can play it in Rhythmbox (mediaplayer in ubuntu) though. Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this?

Unless you got a bad download, I don't know what the problem might be. I just downloaded the 'book, and it synced fine to my iPod from iTunes and appears to play without problem.

I downloaded it three times. I think it's something about not using iTunes.

All the other audiobook-files seem to be working just fine. I also checked the file properties and all the other data info and everything seems to be okay, so it's just that Gtkpod can't somehow analyse the file.

I might just have to download the mp3 files instead.

Not your fault :) Using an Ipod in linux is a tricky thing. Apple doesn't really support any other programs that their own. (And definitely don't make it easy for people who use free operating systems and programs.)

You have it in two parts? That would be awesome. I can maybe try and convert it myself if I can find a program for linux that does it. But if not, mp3's will be just fine.

It bugs me that I can't figure out what the problem is, since every other audiobook-file that I've downloaded works.
