Want to hear a strange truth? The main reason I'm podficcing these days is that I'm trying to quit smoking, and podficcing serves as a huge distraction from going for a cigarette. Apparently, I'm substituting one oral fixation for another...and if the amount of podfics coming out is any sort of indicator...I kinda smoked a lot. -_-;;; Honestly? If I come out of this thing a nonsmoker, I think it's a win.

Hell, I always feel tired. Having something I enjoy to work on helps keep me happy and sane. It's not like anyone is twisting my arm and forcing me to do this, after all. :-)

Besides, I was a nurse (neonatal intensive care, but still...) for almost 30 years, so wanting to help keep people healthy is in my blood.

*applauds* I seriously commend you for being a neonatal nurse. My mother was an RN in a psychiatric institution and a mental disabilities facility...and I realized at an early age, much as I'd like to help people, in that way, I can't. I get too emotionally involved, and end up a huge mess, which helps no one. :( But, go you! *\o/*
