Half right about the fandom. Actually, ST:TOS was my passion back in the 60's, and K/S my first active fandom in the 70's.
I was leery of the movie, largely because I greatly disliked Zachary Quinto on Heroes (still don't really like him, though he did fine as Spock), but I enjoyed it very much. I've only read a few stories and listened to a few podfics, but I liked all of those, too.
Hmm, maybe I should ask Waldorph how she'd like the stories 'booked. If there are arcs, I could do those separately and/or together, and possibly the gen stories separately for the non-slash people, if they would make sense that way...
Oh, bother.
ETA: I should also ask Holly if she'd like a podbook of the one she did...
