SGA: New version of "The Neighborly Detective and the Tragic Woobie Widower"

Since completing the Woobie 'Verse for the podbang, I have become aware of the preference of many podfic consumers for podfics that are not colored by effects and music. With that in mind, I stripped Woobie of all but the beginning and ending music and uploaded that version for those that prefer their fic straight up. This means no change for the other stories in the 'verse, because I didn't add any music or effects to their narratives.

I have also corrected the "original" version of Part 1 for music and effects that were out of sync/too loud. As soon as I re-listen to my copy and make sure all is well, I will be posting that as well.

I meant to answer a comment of yours about this a while back to say that yes, I loved the idea of the effects you'd put in, but despite liking the idea they did make it difficult for me to understand the text... and then I never did. But I can comment today to say YAY! I'm grabbing this! And I can also tell you that I'm loving this story, thanks to you. Thank you so much. :)

Oh, thank you! It was very thoughtful of you to take the time and effort to put together a version without the extra effects and music for those of us who find it easier to listen to just the words.

I'd grabbed the original version, but hadn't yet got round to loading it onto the mp3 player--now, I can just load the new version instead, and I'm really looking forward to it. Thank you again!

You might want to wait until I post the correction to the original this weekend - there are some problems with the sound syncing and relative volume of the tracks in part 1. I want to have it done ASAP, no later than Saturday.

I'm glad to see that you've uploaded a non-effect version, because I know how it bothers some people in the fandom, but I hope you keep trying effects in your future podfics. When I listened to this podfic while there were some effects that didn't work for me, there were some that really really did and it was interesting to hear. There aren't all that many podfics in the fandom that have that kind of sound effects and I wouldn't mind if there were more.

I'm looking forward to reading the reviews that were done for you podfic. I think some have already been posted....
