I know exactly what you meant about having an idea but not what it might take to bring it to life. It can be frustrating. (Though I wouldn't say no skills because Hello you obviously got a lot of them! Doesn't mean you have the right method/know-how for all your ideas, but you definitely got skills and great practice going on! :D ) Now you know that when you do make covers, others find them awesome too!

It's very iconic of that scene, representative of the text, and also of your interpretation and how you played it, so I adored that. I definitively prefer covers that remind me of the reading first, with content coming second. Generic covers are lovely and often beautiful but often don't help me as much when shuffling through my files. I'm a very visual person first and auditory second, so I love it when something grabs me and can be put on voices (all of those over written words, which often go right through me). this cover definitively has a great and unique association going on. You went with your instinct - and pulled it off nicely. Don't sell yourself short, there's nothing easy or cheating about that, and it underlies all the hours you've spent on other graphics and other covers learning everything you were then able to easily use to make this one. (See? Skills!) Invisible effort doesn't mean absent. :3

Thank you for making and sharing it, and all your works for that matter. <3
