I became a little confuzzled by the change of recipient from yourself (I could swear your name was the one I was assigned, and let me tell you, I was intimidated by recording a story by a true Fandom Great for the Queen of All Podfic!) to ratherastory, who doesn't list Due South anywhere as an interest.

If I've made a mistake, I apologize. I'm working on a long SPN story that might make up for it...

i totally love it. oh man. i can tell you, when it came in, the entire podmod collective made grabby hands. and...that was after i defaulted, and when i realized it was for me, there was MUCH wailing and gnashing of teeth, i can tell you.

but! since your recipient (me) had dropped out, and ratherastory's gifter had dropped out, and she listed due south as a fandom request in her signup, we swapped you around. we manage to keep most people's matches stable (we only had a 20% default rate this year, which is amazingly low), but in the interest of everyone getting gifts at reveal, some get moved. :)

but you'll notice that here i am, enjoying my gift ANYWAY. and i LOVE IT. thank you so much!

Oh good! Thank you for clearing that up. I'm so glad it's a story people are excited about, because it's a favorite of mine. I tried tackling it last year, but I needed a little more podfic experience before attempting the alternating first person POVs. I'd welcome any feedback on how or whether I succeeded.

I finished listening to this last weekend and it was so awesome! You did such a fantastic job with the voices -- the different styles, tones, and cadences. And the POV-switch-indicator worked great (am I correct in remembering you pondering how deal with the audio version of the formating of this story in some comment thread somewhere, even before Podbang? :) ). It was a blast to listen to!
