Title: Between the Heaves of Storm
Author: AfroGeekGoddess
Fandom: Sherlock BBC
Rating: T
Characters/pairing: John Watson and Sherlock Holmes
Warnings/content: references to blood, suicide, corpses
Length: 1:40
Format: MP3, 1.6 MB
Summary: The sounds that John remembers from The Fall. Inspired by John Cage's 4'33''.
Reader/author notes: The Sherlock Uncovered mini-documentary featured an unscored section of The Fall. While watching it, I was struck by all of the ordinary sounds that were in the background of all the emotional and terrible moments of The Fall. Without the amazing soundtrack, the plain, unvarnished horror of that sequence felt even more immediate to me. This poem is about the sounds present in that perfect almost-silence that John experienced.
