Podfic Appreciation Fest 2021 Sign-ups

The Podfic Appreciation Fest is a fandom event to show our love to podfic creators, via our most valuable currency: comments! The fest begins on April 1st, but you can get ready now!


How to join:

1. Make a copy of this spreadsheet, to keep track of your points: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1u7FeBkxzhJQ8o-UlsCNJylzlrZJ7P4KVdhOMx_jSZck/edit?usp=sharing
   1. If you can not host your own spreadsheet, private message me on Dreamwidth and I will provide you with a spreadsheet hosted on my Google Drive.
2. Include your name on the leaderboard here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1e3DYpuu84VTTZEAoOmvPjyYLCG6KnGHVY1J2UbT_bx4/edit?usp=sharing
   1. If you do not wish to reveal your points, that's fine! But I would like to see how many people are participating.
   2. If you wish, you may include a link to your spreadsheet on the leaderboard, but this is OPTIONAL.
3. You can join at any time in the fest, so don't worry if you find out about it late. Just follow 1 & 2 above.

Simple rules:

1. The Fest runs from April 1st to April 30th, UTC midnights.
   1. The spreadsheet keeps track of time! When the time is yellow, we haven't begun. When it's green, GO! When it's red, the Fest is over!
   2. Again, you can join at any time in the fest.
2. Please try to make your feedback genuine. We're showing appreciation, not random words!
3. Occasionally check the leaderboard's first row, where I will add any new opt-out podficcers (those who do not want comments from the fest).

Point calculations and notes:

Comments points calculation: (Most-wanted modifier, 1 or 2)x(length of comment points+number of comments points)

Most Wanted list

 

• 2x total points, based on the number of comments at the start of fest. See "MOST WANTED" on spreadsheet for comment total at start.

Base points for length of comment

• 25-50 words: 1 point

• 51-100 words: 2 points

• 101+ words: 4 points

Base points for number of comments already on fic

• No comments: 5 points

• 1-5 comments: 3 points

• 6-15 comments: 2 points

• 16+ comments: 1 point

Making cover art

• Doesn’t have cover art yet: 3 points

• Already has cover art: 1 points

• Must get permission!

Rec posts

• 1 extra point for every fic recced, HOWEVER

  • Rec must be at least 20 words per podfic, not just a list of podfics

  • You must tell the person you recced that you’ve done so, so they can enjoy your rec

  • You must also have left a comment on the original podfic
