Because of our passion for theatre, and our interest in the intersection between podfic and theatre, [personal profile] bessyboo and I are running a challenge called [community profile] theatripod, which I mentioned on this comm a couple of weeks ago. TheatriPod is “a challenge to create multivoice podfics in the style of theatre productions, with a director, auditions, rehearsals, and a final recorded performance with minimal editing.”

Signups close Monday. We have five directors and two project managers signed up for projects right now, and I’m really excited about them! A few more directors are hoping to find project managers to work with, so if you'd like to participate and help organize a project without the pressure of directing, please consider signing up for that role.

And if you are interested in directing, of course, we'd love to have you! If you want to direct but need help deciding on a fic, there are a few fics that have been suggested as possibilities for TheatriPod projects here and here.

Also, [personal profile] anna_unfolding did a great post about why directing for TheatriPod could be a really neat way to take your vision of a fic that you love and bring it to life. If you think you might be interested in signing up, it's definitely worth reading!

I am not usually one for instant gratification, but I've been working on so many long-term podfic projects (collaborations and otherwise) for the last half year or so that I just had to record something quick and fun that I could post immediately.
