okay, your tireless podmods are OKAY THAT'S A LIE PODMODS GET TIRED TOO.

sorry about that. but honesty is important.

and in that vein! we'll be sending out assignment emails soon, but we found that we have a bunch of information that we want to share with all participants - our global fic element lists! (not as scary as they sound). these are things that came up a lot in sign-ups, and they should help you to be confident that your recipient will be happy with their gift, and help the podmods to be confident that every recipient gets something they will love.

there are three lists:

the first list is stuff that lots of people threw a GIANT red flag on. we suggest you try to pick a story that doesn't include these things - just to be on the safe side. let's call this list DO NOT WANT.

• character bashing (particularly wife/girlfriend bashing)
• unresolved angst and unhappy endings
• graphic descriptions of self-harm

our second list isn't quite so absolute. just tell us if these are in the story you choose for your podfic! we have some recipients who we will make sure DON'T get that podfic (these are major triggers/squicks/etc for several individuals who are signed up; we will make sure they don't get the element they are avoiding). no one marked any of these as preferences, either, jsyk.

• no escape situations (physical or mental - eg despair, chase scenes)
• eating disorders
• bestiality (not applicable for were-animals, xeno, supernatural - those are ok)
• non-con, rape
• humiliation
• torture
• partner betrayal or infidelity/cheating

third list! tell us if these are in your podfic because while they can be triggers and squicks, and some participants are avoiding them, other recipients would LOVE to get them.

• incest
  
• dub-con
  
• major character death
  
• kink (we have specific lists of both kink likes and kink dislikes - so if your podfic includes kink, the more you can tell us about it, the better match we can make)
  
• graphic violence/extreme gore
  
• pregnancy (any type)
  
• institutional unequal power dynamics (innate and un-negotiatied, e.g.teachers, religious officials, doctors, psychiatrist, prostitution)
  
• large age difference (+15 years)
  
• bodyswap, sexswap, genderfuck
