Man, I really want a 'Restraint' icon. Anyway, yes - civil unrest in which the centre of the city sort of shuts down is apparently really good for my productivity:
TITLE: Restraint (Section II - Chapters 11-20)

RATING: This section, NC17.
DURATION: c. 5 hours
FORMATS: mp3, m4a, audiobook

SUMMARY: Mr Acklebury could no longer disregard the fame, not to say the notoriety, into which Penrith After a Ride had suddenly thrown him. Each day's correspondence brought one or two letters begging that he would consider accepting a new commission. Penrith's picture, though actually seen by very few people--it being hung on the library wall in Viscount Penrith's town-house in Half Moon Street, where he did not regularly entertain--was made generally known by the engraving of it that the Times had printed, and by the review in the Literary Gazette. Talk had spread in ever-widening rings, as talk was wont to do, from those who had been privileged to view the picture at the small reception Penrith had given for its unveiling, to those who had not, and Mr Acklebury found himself once again the object of society's avid scrutiny.
READER'S NOTE: Restraint is a WIP, spanning some forty chapters in total, divided into four sections. Section I (chapters 1 - 10) is also available at the above link.
Most sincere and sheepish apologies to the peoples of Italy, France and Ireland for the various attempts at their languages and accents herein. Really. Very VERY sorry. :/
Vast, vast thanks once more to the fair Cybel, who continues to redefine awesome.
