addenda to yesterday's winner post! another prize for jadesfire2808!

hey! so i wasn't quite organized enough to get this into place to include it in yesterday's post celebrating jadesfire2808, but better late than never!

as part of her prize package for placing in the top three amplicathon finishers, jadesfire2808 chose a podfic to be recorded for her as a gift (and bonus! this is also a gift for the rest of us). iamsab volunteered to create the prize, and recruited her sister, spycookies, to help record it.

there were a couple of readers during the amplificathon who posted a lot. and there were a couple of readers who recorded some long fics. and there were quite a few who racked up a lot of recording time in the course of those two activities.

twasadark, though, kind of left everyone else in the dust. i mean, she recorded three and three-quarters hours more than the next most prolific reader! crazy! i know we're all damned grateful that she was so generous competitive generous with her podfic creating skills. :D

twasadark recorded a grand total of twelve hours, forty-four minutes, and twenty-two seconds of podfic for this challenge, easily winning the whisky & lemon award!

okay, so you may have noticed two things today!

(1) part of podmod has today off of work.
(2) this week we posted the prize for first place, and the prize for third place, and some other prizes, but we skipped second place.

okay, well, to address item number 2: we're waiting on a couple of items to roll in before we can make the post celebrating leviticus_lied's big win. BUT! that doesn't mean we can't just make a random post in the meantime celebrating leviticus_lied!

of the top three winners, leviticus_lied was the only one new to podfic recording. and that makes her achievements extra amazing. and this didn't go unnoticed, by the podmod team or by her fellow participants - in fact, arriving in the podmod inbox just the other day, totally unsolicited, was this graphic made for leviticus_lied in appreciation of her amazing summer of podfic, created by runpunkrun with cheerleading from iamsab.

This is probably the most challenging podfic I've recorded so far, but I couldn't resist giving it a try. I'm not convinced I did it justice, but I did my best. When I first read it, this story just grabbed hold of me and didn't let go. What had happened to Ray here almost broke my heart. But don't let that stop you from reading/listening to it--I promise there isn't just angst in this.
