today's winner! the first place gold medal top points award - twasadark!

so the very first award conceived for this challenge was this one: first place, the top point-earning participant. i have to admit, though, we never really expected the points to get so high, or for the race for first to stay neck and neck until the very last minute. it was so exciting! and a bit of a last-minute upset, too, like all great contests.


with a total of sixty two stories read, earning SIX HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THREE points, twasadark is our overall amplificathon winner!



i think it's appropriate here to take a moment to recognize something else that twasadark excelled at throughout this challenge: encouraging other readers (and the mods). we all know it takes energy to pat each other on the back, and i know that we all try - and sometimes we can manage it, and sometimes we can't. twasadark really went above and beyond, making good suggestions, helpful comments, and piping up with awesome cheerleading. so. we don't have a prize for that. but here you go! international recognition: twasadark is fully and completely made of awesome.

twasadark's prizes include the lovely graphic seen above, donated by cybel, and an anthology of her amplificathon recordings, selected by the podmod team and cybel, encoded by and with a cover created and donated by cybel! (erm, there are other prizes too! they just aren't ready yet. :p also - the cover you see below is a variation! the one in the actual podbook is even more awesome!)
