I actually just finished Shadows, and I really liked the way the stream of consciousness of the thoughts was mirrored in the effects. It didn't seem like an aftereffect as much as intrinsic to the story!

I can only imagine making all those CK covers. But seriously, as much as I enjoyed the actual in text images popping up in Giraffe Notes, the consistent aesthetics with ever slightly changing coloring and themes in CK is brilliant!!!
