Reader tag made! What an ambitious project to start with: Go you!

Do you by chance have the mp3 files you compiled the podbook from? The Audiofic Archive requires an mp3 version for accessibility as not everyone has a player that can use podbooks. It would be best if you could make the mp3s available in a zipped folder as mentioned in the FAQ. It is possible to convert the podbook back to an mp3, but it's not very practical for such a long podfic.

Hi, I'm one of Amplificathon's mods! You were asking about format for your post? We don't have a template, but the way I find to be generally the most helpful (for me, anyway) is:

Title (including link):
Author (including link, or as a user tag):
Reader:
Fandom:
Pairing:
Length/size/format: (xx:xx ?MB mp3, for instance)

And then the download link, reader notes, other credits, and anything else you want (like rating)! Your post is fine, you've got all of the information, but it's double-spaced so that definitely makes it look different. :)

Also, wow, a 7+ hour podfic is your first? SHOCK AND AWE. Way to burst in with a bang! \o/

OK so I read The Progress of Sherlock Holmes on the AO3 awhile ago and liked it very much and also thought to myself, 'This would make a really great podfic! If only it wasn't a kazillion words long, someone might attempt it.' And now I find that not only has someone attempted it, it has been successfully completed! I listened to the first part ("Anchorite") and just about cried, because (1) I am a sap like that; (2) omg this fic, so many feelings; and (3) your podfic version (from what I've heard so far) is SO GOOD. The music! The neat trick of putting different characters' dialogue on different, um, sides! (There's technical language for that, but damned if I know what it is.) Your reading style! I love how you do their voices--enough so that they're recognizably John and Sherlock, but not in any exaggerated way--and how Sherlock's thought-voice is different from his speaking voice (underscoring the dichotomy between his thoughts and actions/spoken words). Srsly, I'm so happy that you've done this, & look forward to listening to all the rest of it. :D ♥ ♥

This is one of my favorite stories in the fandom, and your reading of it is just lovely. Wonderful emphasis and intonation -- very Sherlockian -- and I love of nuance of changing audio channels for the dialogue. Thanks so much for making this, and making it available.

MediaFire keeps telling me this link is unavailable, is there any other place I could find it?

Congrats on your first amplification fic!

Wow! What an amazing first effort! I'm going to hold off on downloading until [personal profile] cybel 'books it, but seeing what everyone has been saying in response to it, I'm definitely excited for this!

I'm about halfway through this but I thought I'd come and leave some feedback:) OK, so, your first podfic is about 200% better than my 100th podfic, I feel like rocking back and forth in the corner for awhile weeping in despair:P

Seriously, this is technically brilliant (music, sound effects, sound quality) and your voice is wonderfully Sherlock. Awesome podfic.

Downloaded yesterday. Only a few chapters in but I just wanted to say that I LOVE your voice! Also, love the little professional touches, like sound-balancing character voices so dialogue is more pronounced. GORGEOUS WORK!!!!

I'm only halfway through the podfic but I had to come leave feedback squee right away.

You're so good! I love your voice and your accent, but this is just a matter of personal taste, while it is an incontestable truth that you're a brilliant reader/performer.

Your Sherlock voice is particularly fab. It's so very Sherlock. Not many readers can pull it off!

The use of music is a nice, understated touch.

In short, I honestly can't believe this is your first podfic. I mean, you can't get any better than this. ;) I saw that you've just posted another one. YAY. I look forward to listening to more of your work.

Thanks for all the excellent work!

ps: I was not familiar with this story before listening to your podfic, so I need to thank you for introducing me to ivyblossom's work too. She's an amazing writer.

Someone put out a challenge to make sure to comment to every reader whose podfic you listen to in April, so you can expect a lot of comments from me. I absolutely adore your performance of this story. Your voice work for the different characters is brilliant, and I am /so/ impressed that it was your first project. Thank you so much!

So, I’m not quite finished with it yet, but just to let you know I love this podfic so hard! Your interpretation of Sherlock’s inner monologue, the different character voices - it’s just perfect. Great job!

This has been an INCREDIBLE journey. Your reading is spectacular, the pacing, the quality, the way you choose to inflect and deliver their lines. I usually just listen while commuting but several times I got home and ended up sitting in the dark by the door, with my coat still on, just so I could finish listening to the chapter. Thank you so much for putting the time into this and sharing it! ♥

I really like how you manage to voice Sherlock thoughts. The change of stereo between and mono to make the change between thoughts and conservation destinct is done brilliantly. I also like the pieces of music thoughout the chapters.

So, now I just have to go back to listening to the rest of it, only 10 chapters left :)

I got through listening to this podfic today, and now it is time to heap thanks and praise on you.

THIS PODFIC IS AMAZING. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING IT.

I love your voice and reading style, especially the way you interpret Sherlock's inner monologue! For me, podfic is often just a convenient way to enjoy fanfic when I'm not at my computer, but your reading really added something to the story. It was acting, not simply saying the words on the page, and your performance was brilliant. The inclusion of music was just right. Listening to this podfic turned my commute into the best part of my day for the many days it took to get through. This must have taken a staggering amount of work.

Also, I hadn't read "The Progress of Sherlock Holmes" before, so thanks also for introducing me to this fantastic story.

This is just gorgeous. It's a great story but I dont know that it would've done it for me if not for your read. Your voice is so clear and gentle while being rich and melodic at the same time. It hurt so much that my heart shattered into pieces more often than not and rebuilt and your read reflected every moment. Thank you for creating this. Truly.

I didn't think I'd enjoy the narrative voice the author chose, but I gave it a chance... and I think I loved this fic.

It helped a lot that you were very easy to listen to. You did an excellent job, and I shall look forward to listening to other fic read by you. :)

Thank you for your contribution.
