This one was kind of a sentimental thing. DRagons was probably the first good fanfic writer I ever read, all her stuff is good, she's become my good friend, and this fic contains what is probably still my fave passage ever:

I’m sorry Stanford wasn’t far enough away for you to push him – you had to give him that final shove clean out the door of this family on your way through. And now I’ve always gotta have one hand balled up in the back of his shirt, trying to keep him on the ice, keep what’s left of this family from slipping off the edge.

Also, if you haven't heard Twasadark's rendition of the Dragons' chapter story "Blind Spot", you don't know what you're missing. Can't go wrong with either of these gals, though.
