Shorter fics seem so more intense because, if they're well written (and this one is), they can give so much more insight into the characters than longer fics can.

Thank you! I particularly love how Jess has such a presence in SPN fandom, even though she dies in the first episode - it's so interesting, to see how people interpret her via fic, when she only had, like, half a dozen lines in the entire series. ;-)
