You make an excellent point. I think one of the most interesting things to do with podfic is to see how you can give words more weight by adding more space (but actually time) after it, before what comes next. Too much and you start to wonder if something's wrong, too little and you don't have enough time to understand the words and the meaning of the sentence gets stomped on. And it's easy for me when I edit a section a lot to neglect to add enough pauses after sentences - and the effect when I listen to it is that I start to feel breathless, like there's not enough air. So I'm glad you think that the pacing is good, because I grew up on the East Coast, so I tend to speak quickly, but I don't want to lose the listener by just blasting through. I've started adding pauses between sentences as part of my final editing, which makes the final product feel more relaxed....
