2015 Amplificathon Awards

Hi everyone! kalakirya here with the \o/ 2015 Amplificathon Awards \o/

Before we start, a few stats: we had 46 podficcers this year; 570 podfics were posted, which comes to a total of 502 hours of audio; 48 new fandoms were added to the archive. YOU GUYS. OVER FIVE HUNDRED HOURS. FIVE. HUNDRED. 

that's nearly twenty-one days! if you listened to podfic 24 hours a day it would take you almost three weeks to listen to all of amplificathon. or, if you actually wanted to sleep for eight of those 24 hours, you could spend ONE ENTIRE MONTH LISTENING TO AMPLIFICATHON. FIVE. HUNDRED. HOURS. WOW.

In third place with 5001 points, reena_jenkins !



In second place with 5272 points, rscreighton!



And finally, in first place, with a whopping 8585 points, tinypinkmouse!!!



tinypinkmouse is also the recipient of the whiskey and lemon award, which goes to the podficcer who posted the most podfic, as measured in hours and minutes (a stunning hundred and two hours!)



the lindworm award for longest individual podfic goes to the cast of when the lights go on again, an amazing nearly 20-hour eleven-podficcer collaboration that was organized by dr_fumbles_mcstupid



the blipvert award for shortest podfic goes to tinypinkmouse, for (two) 52 second podfic(s)



the ampliplanet award, for most non-english languages used, goes to tinypinkmouse who posted several podfics in swedish and finnish



and the supersampler award, for most new fandoms added, goes to dr_fumbles_mcstupid (twenty new fandoms!)



we also have timing-based awards!

First off is the intrepid award, which goes to the first podficcer to post during amplificathon - this year, that was analise010, who posted seven minutes after the challenge began



then we have its counterpart, the GMT-11 award, for the last person to post during amplificathon - this yearreena_jenkins snuck under the wire with one minute to go



then there are the fashionably late awards, which go to podficcers who post their first podfic of the challenge during the last week of the challenge! this year that was anatsuno, chantress and cloudlake







and finally, this challenge is heavily indebted to the archivists who kept making sure all that new podfic got into the archive






 

thanks for an amazing year everyone! we're so happy that it went well, hope that everyone had fun, and that we added over five hundred hours of podfic to the archive WOW

Those awards are amazing, too--I especially love the archivist ones, and the wee little blipvert turtle. :D
