Author's summary: Fraser gives in to the call of the wild.

Author's notes: This will probably not make much sense unless you've read the previous story in this series. While I was writing that story, I felt that there was another obvious direction the story could have taken, and I finally had to write that down, too. (And that makes this story an AU for an AU, which is kind of crazy, I know.) Thanks to the Ficfinishing community on LJ, and to Mizface and Aria for feedback and advice.

Summary: Living in Hawai'i is expensive, especially when you're still paying a mortgage on a house back in Jersey. When things get to be too much, Danny has to make a hard decision. The hardest part is keeping the rest of the team from finding out that he's homeless.

Recorded as part of [livejournal.com profile] help_japan for the lovely [livejournal.com profile] cybel. ♥

Thank you also to my wonderful betas, [livejournal.com profile] lunate8 and [livejournal.com profile] yashakizu who jumped in on short notice. :)

AND NOW, FOR THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL (MAYBE) BEEN WAITING FOR: FINAL! POINTS!! UPDATE!!!!

As always, the points standing table is here, and it has been updated with our final points count for the 2011 Amplificathon!

THIS YEAR'S WINNERS ARE:

::drum roll::

In 3rd place, after sweeping away the competition in the last few days of the 'thon, is [personal profile] via_ostiense with 1838 points!!

The 1st and 2nd place winners both posted massive amounts of podfic continually throughout the 'thon, and we had no idea what outcome to expect! But the numbers have spoken, and here are the results:

In 2nd place we have [livejournal.com profile] diane_mckay, with 2354!!!!

And finally, in 1st place with a total of 2497 points is [livejournal.com profile] reena_jenkins!!!!!!

Congratulations to our top three points earners and to ALL of this year's participants; this has been an amazing 'thon, we're awed at the sheer number of participants and the incredible amount of work you've produced. WE ARE ALL WINNERS!

Finally, we'd like to remind you that if you've participated in this year's 'thon we'd like you to please tell us a few stories you'd like podficced -- the top three points earners are not the only people who will get prizes, so even if you didn't place in the top three you might still have earned a prize (and the prizemod doesn't like to ruin the surprise by hunting people down)! You can do so here on LJ and here on DW.
