Anyway, this is a sweet and tender story that I think anyone can enjoy, regardless of how much you know or don't know about Scott's expedition. Thanks to the author for letting me record it!

I did! It was really great to listen to and I'm keeping it so I can listen again. ♥ I liked the way you had Birdie read the two poems at the end; I thought you got at the hidden depths he was trying to bring out.

Oh, thanks! I'm glad the reading worked for you. I admit, I love reading poetry aloud, and sometimes seek out fics where I get to do it. But this one I mostly read because I love polar exploration stories (and because it's a sweet love story).
