The really fascinating thing about putting together feedback for this podfic is that it really does play directly off of the feedback I gave g_d for her recording (and viceversa). I think that your recording really highlights the sense of community and team, the bonds between the characters. There's a warmth to it too; even when the characters go to dark places, there's still that light to hold on to.

I haven't had a chance to listen to hers yet (it's being saved for my next weekend at work), but that's really fascinating to hear! The team aspect of the story is the part that I really love, so it makes me glad to know I conveyed that through my reading. I can't wait to listen to g_d's so I can hear the story in a totally different way - I really do love repods; it's endlessly awesome to me that 50 people can read a story, and they each create their own version and experience it differently even if they are the only ones who experience their version. Podfic is getting to share my experience with other people, and getting to share in theirs, and that's the best thing ever.

(I was going to comment and say, "but just because someone corrected my pronunciation recently and I was so grateful, I wanted to tell you that the l in solder is silent," but then I found this post and I guess it varies by region! So now I'm just sharing trivia.)

Thanks, I'm really glad you liked it! And that is so interesting about solder - I've never heard it with a silent "l" before. Cool trivia, and I would still definitely appreciate the info if I had been absolutely wrong - there are plenty of words I learned through reading that I still pronounce incorrectly sometimes :)
