podfic_lover's previous version, too! I love this fic to bits, and really wanted to perform it myself. Also, it gave me the chance to read poetry aloud, which I love. Thanks to the author for the blanket permission!

I absolutely adore your readings, any chance you could re-upload them?

Anyway, thank you! Here are re-uploads, let's hope they don't get deleted as well.

When I first clicked on those sendspace files I got a fake virus warning wanting to download a zip file. I deleted it before it did anything to my computer, but...weird! Then the next time I clicked (because incurably nosy) I got the deletion notice. Hmmm.

I too have noticed that your files have been deleted. Perhaps you can reupload them but give them a different name?

Also, I wasn't quite sure about the pairings included in 'intemperance' and left it at mary marston/john watson right now. Please let me know if there are any more.

Intemperance
Re: Intemperance

First, I wanted to say how impressed I was by the professional sound quality, especially over such a lengthy piece. I ended up listening to the pod-fic over several days commuting to work, and was so compelled that I ended up walking right past my school, and didn't notice until 3 blocks later. Your reading was emotional, while still remaining clear. There were two scenes in particular that really, deeply moved me. The first was Ray's reactions after Denny died, after Fraser had left the room. The other was the conversation between Ben and Ray on the stairway of the abandoned house. You made me FEEL for Ray in both of those scenes, in a way I hadn't since I first wrote it.
Thanks so much for performing the story!

Ha, that is awesome. *g*
Yeah, I have a lot of feelings for this story, and I'm glad that came through. That conversation on the stairs--I love it so much. And thank you for your blanket transformation policy!

Late but enthusiastic : Intemperance
Your narration is particularly excellent here: you perfectly capture the ironic distance required for such an engrossing & mysterious story.
It's also technically shiny. My previous listen was NPR and you needed no adjustments to volume or EQ.
I'm locking this file to prevent accidental deletion, since I anticipate rereading in my dotage.
Re: Late but enthusiastic : Intemperance
Anyway, maybe I should re-listen to some of my own podfic--enough time as has passed that I will have forgotten it, and maybe it'll inspire me to record something again.
Re: Late but enthusiastic : Intemperance
That valley of suckitude was more likely a tsunami of Stuff, then they got busy, and then they were too embarrassed to say they'd forgotten to listen and therefore had nothing to contribute.
Your podfic oeuvre is so impressive.
I bet you have a thousand candidates. You'd do a great job with Basingstoke's BBC bookend to Intemperate,
Indecorous: http://archiveofourown.org/works/204010
B's summary: In which John learns to balance a kinky girlfriend, an asexual boyfriend, a ten-inch cock, his sister, the neighbours, his friends, and his blog. Some are more balanced than others.
Re: Late but enthusiastic : Intemperance
Indecorous is in my to-read folder, but I never got around to it. I'm not that likely to record fic set in modern-day Britain--there's something about modern British accents that are hard for me. Not that I actually do old-fashioned British accents either, but I still feel that style is much easier.
Re: Late but enthusiastic : Intemperance
I didn't hear British accents so much as appropriate variation in the prosody so as to create distinctive audio characters. Which is why you are, without doubt, such a talented pofficcer.
