Ohmygoodness, two? That's all this fandom has? How sad! I suppose the whole premise of a Japanese anime taking place in a Fairytale version of a Germanic town that's dubbed by an American/British/Canadian cast might be... a little intimidating. Or is it that music so defines the show? I DON'T KNOW. Going to stop babbling now. D:

I suppose the whole premise of a Japanese anime taking place in a Fairytale version of a Germanic town that's dubbed by an American/British/Canadian cast might be... a little intimidating.

I actually think that makes it less intimidating--I mean, with so many different accents involved, who is going to care that mine is Swedish?

I did like it! I think it's been a bit too long since I saw the show, though, so I didn't quite get everything in the story. But I liked your use of music (it's hard to resist in this fandom, I suppose), and your voice is lovely. I have no idea what your accent is, but I really like it.

PT is really hard to make fan stuff for. You just get these... urges to insert classical music everywhere! And attempt to time the spoken narrative to match the music's narrative and... yeah. those urges were only partially defeated?

Your use of classical music was excellently done! :)

You have just the right dreamy tone to your voice for this reading too. I especially like the use of that echo effect. (I can never get echo effects to sound right.)

You have no idea how happy this comment makes me! I was afraid my voice would sound too much like a twelve year-old girl's to be taken seriously, so to be just right in it's tone? That you "loved it?" MAKES. MY. YEAR. *huuuuuuugs*

Ooh, and the echo effect was done by copy+paste-ing the planned echo-y bits to another track while still leaving the original on the main track. Then I fiddle with the Echo track's settings (in Garageband it's done en mass), namely Reverb and Echo, until the effect is as I want. The last step is to lower the volume of the Echo track so that it melds with the Main track -- sounds more like an overlay than an overpowering effect.

Yeah. :D

Hi! I was listening to this on the way to work this morning, and *really* love it. You did wonderfully with that dreamy/otherwordly sort of tone for the Edel section - and the emotion in that first Fakir section, in particular, is awesome. (Love the use of music and SFX, too. Tastefully done, and in keeping with the tone of the story. :) )
