OOC, did you end up using Goldwave?

And yep! Goldwave worked great for noise removal - I did most of my fix-the-mistakes editing in Audacity, and then when I had a nearly-finished product I exported it to mp3 format and took out all the hissing background noise in Goldwave. Thanks again for the tip on that!
