I don't properly know what to say about this one, aside from: I needed it. So I made it, despite how intimidating it was to take on a part of the Paradox Series, due to the extent which I adore it. I started it back at the beginning of September and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into it since. I think I'm finally satisfied enough to post it.

[livejournal.com profile] lunchy_munchy deserves a medal or a cake or a cake shaped like a medal for the beta process, which involved quite a bit of indispensable, thorough feedback and advice interspersed with quite a bit more hand-holding and reassurance. Many thanks must also go out to [personal profile] lunate8 too for letting me pick her brain periodically. And another thank you to [profile] sly_hostetter and [livejournal.com profile] bessyboo for talking me down from an editing freakout one night over Twitter. (Podfic community = ♥♥♥)

So here it is! At long last. I can only hope it is even a fraction as good as the stunning chapters recorded by FayJay ([personal profile] pandarus) and [livejournal.com profile] bronwynferchdai that precede it.

P.S. I'm trying something new with the inclusion of the streaming sample. Let me know if it was of use to you?

I have so much love for how you used music and sound effects in this. The staticy sound pretty much stopped my heart, its effect was so strong on me. I loved the way you showed Sherlock's crazy brain by speeding up and slightly overlapping the words in some of his 'lists' (I hope I'm explaining that properly). And, oh, John's faraway voice when he was telling Sherlock to breathe!

I really only ever need a person's voice in podfic but I'm always so impressed when people go above and beyond, especially when it works as well as it did here.
