(I come to podfic from theatre, so I generally pick fics that have good acting opportunities in the dialogue, like Peak Effect. It's a fun chance to get to play with the kind of scenes I wouldn't necessarily ever have an opportunity to do on stage.)
I have only dipped my toe in the POI fandom myself. It has the interesting thing going on that the show added new characters and shifted focus halfway through, and the slash-fic seems to reflect that -- there's almost as much Root/Shaw on AO3 as Finch/Reese, even though Finch & Reese are in all 4 seasons while Root & Shaw only become main characters halfway through S3. (Yay, opportunities for femslash!)
