Hmm... sorry to have confused you and glad you liked the brogue.

Now then for a very long answer about made up biology, because I've thought about this too much.

In Weaponized Biologicals and for that matter SeeBee & SpiderKing, John's a male Omega. Therefore he has a penis, but that's not he reproduces with it. In an attempt to make up a reason that isn't porn, (ah Omegaverse, it's all about the porn) is each person could present as either one of the reproductive genders (Alpha or Omega based on their genetics) or a Beta (based on they got too little/not the right foods when they getting ready to present). But really it's the porn.

Mary in Weaponized Biologicals is a Female Alpha. So, she has someting that comes out that only comes out during heat. I'm basing this on duck penises that emerge when necessary and otherwise are tidely inside. Err... if you do end up looking that one up, let's just say ducks have interesting biology.

Hopefully, I didn't call John Joan (or Jane, or Jean or... whatever) in the reading for Weaponized. The problem when writing/podficing that many stories where everyone's gender gets switched every story.

Sherlock is a FemaleBeta in Weaponized and a MaleBeta in SeeBee&SpiderKing. He and She are not pregnant in either story. In this version of Omegaverse, Betas don't equal us. Male Betas and Female Betas are each different genders, which has a quasi-biological purpose.

Anyway, Female Betas lactate if in lots of bodily contanct to an Omega who has given birth (and giving off the right pheromones). Making things up, like one does in Omegaverse, to help feed all those babies the Omegas spawn.Sherlock's experimenting on herself cuz... she's Sherlock. This round she's a consulting biologist because I used to work in biotech.

Male Betas, as John comments in SeeBee&SpiderKing, don't lactate. Instead, they have a biological impulse to nest/hunter/gather for Omegas. I'm assuming that biologically speaking the Alpha has a biological imperative to stick around until the child is born and that's about it.

Cultural dictates being a different matter. Anyway, cough, humans are clever monkeys, so I'm making up biological/cultural rules to subvert them.

The next story (Save Water, Bend a Raindrop) admittedly will have characters flat out talking about all this, because we'll finally reach a version of John(Jean) who's taken human sexuality classes and would have a reason to go on about it.

Breathes out. Clear as mud in which ducks... cough. Moving on.
