I love these kinds of critical analyses of fandom forms, how people are experimenting with them and reinterpreting what that particular form is. Because, you know, these are things that we built. Podfic is more than just a subsidiary of the text, as [you've] demonstrate[d] in [this] post, complete with audio samples from the various podfics recced. In this community bubbling with amniotic creativity, we've created a form of our own, whose rules and conventions are fluid, and everyone's contributions and reinventions are equally welcomed. It's quite amazing what we've achieved, when you think about it.
