Summary: 'With the right boat beneath your feet, who knows where you might sail.' A coda to The Other Wind

As the score suggests, this is my very first podfic, so let me know if there's anything I've done wrong!

Hope you enjoy! You're my inspiration for starting to record audiofics, and I wish I could persuade more people to record them for Earthsea.

I really liked it! Especially the Windkey's skeptical "A boat made from dozens of different timbers?" That line of dialogue was great.

And of course, I am happy that I inspired you to record audiofic of your own. : )

Thanks! I have found that dialogue is by far the hardest part for me. Now to see if I can get my courage up to ask someone else if I might record their story :)

Yes, dialogue can definitely be hard! It's also a lot of fun, though, because that's where you really get to act out.

You know about the blanket permission list, right? It can make it less nerve-wracking to record other people's fic.

(Also, if you're taking suggestions, I'd love to see a podfic of [personal profile] ellen_fremedon's Earthsea fic The Veins of the Forest. I've recorded fic of hers before, so I'm pretty sure she'd say yes.)

Yes, I'd seen the blanket permission list on Fanlore, but a lot of authors I'd be keen to record aren't on it, sadly.

'The Veins of the Forest' is top on my list of Would Really Like To Do's -- I don't know the author, but she wrote it for me for Yuletide, and I love it to bits, so I'm very much hoping that she might be amenable to my recording it.

First podfic! How exciting:DD

You did such a great job, and not just for your first time, it sounds like you've been recording for ages. Your voice has that confidence to it.

Thank you! I was terrified about posting, so I'm glad it sounds confident, even though it wasn't!
